Data collection, use and sharing
We collect your data exclusively via this website and by email. Your data will be saved as soon as you submit an application to join the group. Data on rejected applications will be deleted after the rejection.
We use your personal data solely to identify you and to inform you about activities, meetings of the support group, etc. Commercial use is excluded.
We will never pass on your personal data to third parties, including other members of the self-help group, without a legal obligation or your express consent. You decide who you want to contact and therefore which member of the association you give your contact details to. We do not keep any records of this.
If you leave the club, you can request that your data be deleted. Without an explicit request for deletion, your account will be blocked, your profile will be deactivated, and your posts in the forum and blog will remain. Only your display name, which you have previously anonymized yourself, will remain visible. This will be done at your request.
What data do we collect?
In order to become a member of the Self-Help Tracheal Stenosis Association, you must give us your full name, an email address and, if you wish, a telephone number. During one of the first contacts, we would like to verify your identity using an ID card so that we can be sure that you are the person you claim to be. We will store the copy of your ID card in your account for verification purposes. We also remember whether you have read and accepted the terms and conditions of participation and the privacy policy.
You provide all other information voluntarily on our forums or in audiovisual group chats.
The Self-Help Tracheal Stenosis Association does not process any other personal data itself, and certainly not any personal data that is particularly worthy of protection.
You are in control of your data
We will be happy to provide you with an overview of the personal data we process at any time. You decide how we should send it to you.
If you discover an error, we will be happy to correct it according to your information, unless you are able to do so directly via this website.
If you would like to have your personal data deleted without leaving the Self-Help Tracheal Stenosis Association, this will unfortunately be the same as leaving the association and we will delete your data immediately.
