ENT Congress 2023

In October we were at the 56th ENT Congress in Mannheim, where we had the opportunity for the first time to design and manage our own stand for our self-help group. With over 1,750 participants and more than 800 company representatives, the 2023 ENT Congress was bigger than ever.
Although there wasn't much interest in our somewhat remote stand, a few doctors who already have patients with idiopathic tracheal stenosis or who are interested in the topic came to see us. We were able to have some good conversations, provide information about our illness and our support group, make contacts and hand out some flyers. The participants were mainly ENT doctors in private practice.
We were also able to establish contacts with companies that manufacture laryngoscopes and other devices.
We put together some information on our posters: about the effects of the disease, about the treatment methods commonly used in our region. We also provided information and statistics about our group, where we live, how old we are, how much time has passed between the first symptoms and the diagnosis and what our goals and concerns are. We presented our clinic survey and a poster provided information about Catherine Anderson, her work and of course her guidebook "Rough Guide for Beginners".
We were able to distribute the letter to the doctors, the appeal for donations for Dr. Franco's study and our flyers.
Next year from May 8th to 11th, 2024, we will participate in the big ENT congress in Essen and have already collected some ideas for it.
